Rosário Salema de Carvalho got a Master´s degree in Art History from the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon University with a dissertation devoted to the representations of the works of mercy in tiles. She has been doing research on heritage, especially in the area of Portuguese tiles, and wrote several books and articles. Presently she is preparing a Ph.D. dissertation in art history at the same institution, dedicated to one of the most significant periods of the history of Portuguese tiles, the Masters Period, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Vítor Serrão and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Ana Paula Correia.
